And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard
his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth
. ... For who [is
there of] all flesh
, that hath heard the voice of the living
God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we [have
], and lived?
] people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.

spake, and God
answered him by a voice.
-22 And all
the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw [it
], they removed
, and stood afar off. ... And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked
with you from heaven.
And the LORD spake
unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend
. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant
Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
With him will I speak mouth
to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches
; and the similitude
of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye
not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
