And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash [withal
]. ... When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.
Thou shalt also make a laver
] brass, and his foot [also of
] brass, to wash [withal
]: and thou shalt put it
between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. ... So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute
for ever to them, [even
] to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
And he made the laver
] brass, and the foot of it [of
] brass, of the lookingglasses of [the women
, which assembled [at
] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
I will wash
mine hands in innocency: so will
I compass thine altar, O LORD:
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house
of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness
Not by works
of righteousness which we have done, but according
to his mercy he saved us, by the washing
of regeneration, and renewing
of the Holy Ghost;
Let us draw
near with a true
heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled
from an evil
conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water.
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as
he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
And from Jesus Christ, [who is]
the faithful witness, [and] the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince
of the kings of the earth. Unto him
that loved us, and washed
us from our sins in his own blood, ... And hath made
us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him
] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
