Zion’s Glory and New Name

  1 For Zion’s° sake° I will not keep° silent°,
  And for Jerusalem’s° sake° I will not keep° quiet°,
  Until° her arighteousness° goes° forth° like brightness°,
  And her bsalvation° like a torch° that is burning°.
  2 The anations° will see° your righteousness°,
  And all° kings° your glory°;
  And you will be called° by a new° bname°
  Which° the mouth° of the LORD° will designate°.
  3 You will also be a acrown° of beauty° in the hand° of the LORD°,
  And a royal° Idiadem° in the hand° of your God°.
  4 It will no° longer° be said° to you, “IaForsaken°,”
  Nor° to your land° will it any° longer° be said°, “IIDesolate°”;
  But you will be called°, “IIIMy delight° is in her,”
  And your land°, “IVbMarried°”;
  For the cLORD° delights° in you,
  And [to Him] your land° will be married°.
  5 For [as] a young° man° marries° a virgin°,
  [So] your sons° will marry° you;
  And [as] the Ibridegroom° rejoices° over° the bride°,
  [So] your aGod° will rejoice° over° you.

  6 ¶ On your walls°, O Jerusalem°, I have appointed° awatchmen°;
  All° day° and all° night° they will never° keep° silent°.
  You who bremind° the LORD°, take no° rest° for yourselves;
  7 And agive° Him no° rest° until° He establishes°
  And makes° bJerusalem° a praise° in the earth°.
  8 aThe LORD° has sworn° by His right° hand° and by His strong° arm°,
  “I will bnever° again° give° your grain° [as] food° for your enemies°;
  Nor° will Iforeigners°° drink° your new° wine° for which° you have labored°.”
  9 But those who agarner° it will eat° it and praise° the LORD°;
  And those who gather° it will drink° it in the courts° of My sanctuary°.

The office of the ministers (unto which they are incited) in preaching the Gospel,

5 ¶ For² [as] a young manº marriethºª a virgin,º [so] shall thy sonsº marryºª thee: and [as] the bridegroomº rejoicethº over² the bride,º [so] shall thy Godº rejoiceºª over² thee. 6 I have setºª watchmenºª upon² thy walls,º O Jerusalem,º [which] shall neverº² hold their peaceºª dayº nor night:º ye that make mentionºª of² the LORD,º keep not silence,º² 7 And giveºª him no² rest,º till² he establish,ºª and till² he makeºª² Jerusalemº a praiseº in the earth.º 8 The LORDº hath swornºª by his right hand,º and by the armº of his strength,º Surely I will¹ no² more² giveºª² thy cornº [to be] meatº for thine enemies;ºª and the sonsº of the strangerº shall not² drinkºª thy wine,º for the which² thou hast laboured:ºª 9 But² they that have gatheredºª it shall eatºª it, and praiseºª² the LORD;º and they that have brought it togetherºª shall drinkºª it in the courtsº of my holiness.º
