The Cure for Anxiety

25aFor this° reason° I say° to you, Ido not be bworried° about° your IIlife°, [as to] what° you will eat° or° what° you will drink°; nor° for your body°, [as to] what° you will put° on. Is not life° more° than food°, and the body° more° than clothing°? 26 aLook° at the birds° of the Iair°, that they do not sow°, nor° reap° nor° gather° into barns°, and [yet] your heavenly° Father° feeds° them. Are you not worth° much° more° than they? 27 And who° of you by being aworried° can° badd° a [single] Ihour° to his IIlife°? 28 And why° are you aworried° about° clothing°? Observe° how° the lilies° of the field° grow°; they do not toil° nor° do they spin°, 29 yet° I say° to you that not even° aSolomon° in all° his glory° clothed° himself like° one° of these°. 30 But if° God° so° clothes° the agrass° of the field°, which is [alive] today° and tomorrow° is thrown° into the furnace°, [will He] not much° more° [clothe] you? bYou of little° faith°! 31 Do not aworry° then°, saying°, ‘What° will we eat°?’ or° ‘What° will we drink°?’ or° ‘What° will we wear° for clothing°?’ 32 For the Gentiles° eagerly° seek° all° these° things°; for ayour heavenly° Father° knows° that you need° all° these° things°. 33 But Iseek° first° IIHis kingdom° and His righteousness°, and aall° these° things° will be IIIadded° to you.

25 Thereforeºº I sayºª unto you,º Take no¹ thoughtºª² for yourº life,º whatº ye shall eat,ºª orº whatº ye shall drink;ºª nor yet² for¹ yourº body,º whatº ye shall put on.ºª Isºª notº the² lifeº more² than¹ meat,º andº the² bodyº than raiment?º 26 Beholdººª the² fowlsº of the² air:º forº they sowºª not,º neitherº do they reap,ºª norº gatherºª intoº barns;º yetº yourº heavenlyº Fatherº feedethºª them.º Are¹ª ye¹ not¹ much¹ better²²²² than¹ª they?º 27 º Whichº¹ of² youº by taking thoughtºª canºª addºª oneº cubitº untoº his¹² stature?º 28 Andº whyº take ye thoughtºª forº raiment?º Considerºª the² liliesº of the² field,º howº they grow;ºª they toilºª not,º neitherº do they spin:ºª 29 And² yet¹ I sayºª unto you,º Thatº evenºª Solomonº inº allº his¹² gloryº was¹ª not¹ arrayedºª likeº oneº of these.º 30 Wherefore,º ifº Godº soº clotheºª the² grassº of the² field,º which to dayº is,ºª andº to morrowº is castºª intoº the oven,º [shall he] notº muchº moreº [clothe] you,º O ye of little faith?º 31 Thereforeº take no¹ thought,ºª² saying,ºª Whatº shall we eat?ºª or,º Whatº shall we drink?ºª or,º Wherewithalº shall we be clothed?ºª 32 (Forº after¹ª allº these thingsº do the² Gentilesº seek:)ºª forº yourº heavenlyº Fatherº knowethºª thatº ye have needºª of allº these things.º
