The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.

  1 How blessed° is the man° who° adoes not walk° in the bcounsel° of the wicked°,
  Nor° stand° in the Icpath° of sinners°,
  Nor° dsit° in the seat° of scoffers°!
  2 But his adelight° is bin the law° of the LORD°,
  And in His law° he meditates° cday° and dnight°.
  3 He will be like aa tree° [firmly] planted° by Istreams° of water°,
  Which° yields° its fruit° in its season°
  And its IIleaf° does not wither°;
  And IIIin whatever°° he does°, bhe prospers°.

  But the way° of bthe wicked° will perish°.

The unhappiness of the ungodly.

4 The ungodlyº [are] not² so:² but²² [are] like the chaffº which² the windº driveth away.ºª 5 Therefore²² the ungodlyº shall not² standºª in the judgment,º nor sinnersº in the congregationº of the righteous.º 6 For² the LORDº knowethºª the wayº of the righteous:º but the wayº of the ungodlyº shall perish.ºª
