A Remnant Prepared

1 For seven° women° will take° hold° of aone° man° in that day°, saying°, “We will eat° our own bread° and wear° our own clothes°, only° let us be called° by your name°; btake° away° our reproach°!”

2 ¶ In that day° the aBranch° of the LORD° will be beautiful° and glorious°, and the bfruit° of the earth° [will be] the pride° and the adornment° of the csurvivors° of Israel°. 3 It will come° about that he who is aleft° in Zion° and remains° in Jerusalem° will be called° bholy°—everyone° who is crecorded° for life° in Jerusalem°. 4 When° the Lord° has washed° away° the filth° of the adaughters° of Zion° and Ipurged° the bbloodshed° of Jerusalem° from her midst°, by the cspirit° of judgment° and the dspirit° of burning°, 5 then the LORD° will create° over° the whole° area° of Mount° Zion° and over° her assemblies° aa cloud° by day°, even smoke°, and the brightness° of a flaming° fire° by night°; for over° all° the bglory° will be a canopy°. 6 There will be a ashelter° to [give] shade° from the heat° by day°, and refuge° and Iprotection° from the storm° and the rain°.

In the extremity of evils, Christ's Kingdom shall be a sanctuary.

1 ¶ And in that² dayº sevenº womenº shall take holdºª of oneº man,º saying,ºª We will eatºª our own bread,º and wearºª our own apparel:º only² let us be calledºª by thy name,º to take² away¹ª our reproach.º 2 In that² dayº shall the branchº of the LORDº be² beautifulº and glorious,º and the fruitº of the earthº [shall be] excellentº and comely² for¹ them that are escapedº of Israel.º 3 And it shall come to pass,² [that he that is] leftºª in Zion,º and [he that] remainethºª in Jerusalem,º shall be calledºª holy,º [even] every one² that is writtenºª among the livingº in Jerusalem:º 4 When² the Lordº shall have washed awayºª² the filthº of the daughtersº of Zion,º and shall have purgedºª the bloodº of Jerusalemº from the midstº² thereof by the spiritº of judgment,º and by the spiritº of burning.ºª 5 And the LORDº will createºª upon² every² dwelling placeº of mountº Zion,º and upon² her assemblies,º a cloudº and smokeº by day,º and the shiningº of a flamingº fireº by night:º for² upon² all² the gloryº [shall be] a defence.º 6 And there shall be² a tabernacleº for a shadowº in the daytimeº from the heat,º² and for a place of refuge,º and for a covertº from stormº² and from rain.º²
