Folly and Wickedness of Men.

For the choir director. [A Psalm] of David.

  1 The fool° has asaid° in his heart°, “There° is no° God°.”
  They are corrupt°, they have committed° abominable° Ideeds°;
  There° is bno° one° who does° good°.
  2 The LORD° has alooked° down° from heaven° upon the sons° of men°
  To see° if there° are any° who Ibunderstand°,
  Who cseek° after God°.
  3 They have all° aturned° aside°, together° they have become° corrupt°;
  There° is bno° one° who does° good°, not even° one°.

  6 You would put° to shame° the counsel° of the afflicted°,
  But the LORD° is his arefuge°.

David describeth the corruption of a natural man.

4 Have all² the workersºª of iniquityº no² knowledge?ºª who eat upºª my peopleº [as] they eatºª bread,º and callºª not² upon the LORD.º 5 There² were they in great¹ fear:ºª² for² Godº [is] in the generationº of the righteous.º 6 Ye have shamedºª the counselº of the poor,º because² the LORDº [is] his refuge.º
