NASB — Psalms 19 — KJV

The Works and the Word of God.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

  1 The aheavens are telling of the glory of God;
  And their bexpanse is declaring the work of His hands.
  2 Day to aday pours forth speech,
  And bnight to night reveals knowledge.
  3 There is no speech, nor are there words;
  Their voice is not heard.
  4 Their Ialine has gone out through all the earth,
  And their utterances to the end of the world.
  In them He has bplaced a tent for the sun,
  5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
  It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
  6 Its arising is from Ione end of the heavens,
  And its circuit to the IIother end of them;
  And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

  7aThe law of the LORD is Ibperfect, crestoring the soul;
  The testimony of the LORD is dsure, making ewise the simple.
  8 The precepts of the LORD are aright, brejoicing the heart;
  The commandment of the LORD is cpure, denlightening the eyes.
  9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
  The judgments of the LORD are atrue; they are brighteous altogether.
  10 They are more desirable than agold, yes, than much fine gold;
  bSweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
  11 Moreover, by them aYour servant is warned;
  In keeping them there is great breward.
  12 Who can adiscern [his] errors? bAcquit me of chidden [faults].
  13 Also keep back Your servant afrom presumptuous [sins];
  Let them not brule over me;
  Then I will be Icblameless,
  And I shall be acquitted of dgreat transgression.
  14 Let the words of my mouth and athe meditation of my heart
  Be acceptable in Your sight,

The creatures shew God's glory.

1 ¶ [[To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.]] The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 [There is] no speech nor language, [where] their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which [is] as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, [and] rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth [is] from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

David prayeth for grace.

12 Who can understand [his] errors? cleanse thou me from secret [faults]. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
