NASB — Psalms 28 — KJV

A Prayer for Help, and Praise for Its Answer.

[A Psalm] of David.

  1 To You, O LORD, I call;
  My arock, do not be deaf to me,
  For if You bare silent to me,
  I will become like those who cgo down to the pit.
  2 Hear the avoice of my supplications when I cry to You for help,
  When I blift up my hands ctoward IYour holy dsanctuary.
  3 aDo not drag me away with the wicked
  And with those who work iniquity,
  Who bspeak peace with their neighbors,
  While evil is in their hearts.
  4 Requite them aaccording to their work and according to the evil of their practices;
  Requite them according to the deeds of their hands;
  Repay them their Irecompense.
  5 Because they ado not regard the works of the LORD
  Nor the deeds of His hands,
  He will tear them down and not build them up.

David prayeth earnestly against his enemies.

1 ¶ [[[A Psalm] of David.]] Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, [if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. 3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief [is] in their hearts. 4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. 5 Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
