  1 Be gracious° to me, O God°, for man° has Iatrampled° upon me;
  IIFighting° all° day° long he boppresses° me.
  2 My foes° have Iatrampled° upon me all° day° long,
  For IIthey are many° who bfight° proudly° against me.
  3 IWhen° I am aafraid°,
  III will bput° my trust° in You.
  4 aIn God°, whose word° I praise°,
  In God° I have put° my trust°;
  I shall not be afraid°.
  bWhat° can [mere] Iman° do° to me?
  5 All° day° long they Iadistort° my words°;
  All° their IIbthoughts° are against° me for evil°.
  6 They Iaattack°, they lurk°,
  They bwatch° my IIsteps°,
  As they have cwaited° [to take] my IIIlife°.
  7 Because° of wickedness°, Iacast° them forth°,
  In anger° bput° down° the peoples°, O God°!

  What° can man° do° to me?
  12 Your avows° are [binding] upon me, O God°;
  I will render° thank° offerings° to You.
  13 For You have adelivered° my soul° from death°,

David, praying to God in confidence of his Word, complaineth of his enemies.
