The Priest’s Part in the Offerings

1 ‘Now this° is the law° of the aguilt° offering°; it is most° holy°. 2 In athe place° where° they slay° the burnt° offering° they are to slay° the guilt° offering°, and he shall sprinkle° its blood° around° on the altar°. 3 Then he shall offer° from it all° its fat°: the afat° tail° and the fat° that covers° the entrails°, 4 and the two° kidneys° with the fat° that is on them, which° is on the loins°, and the lobe° on the liver° he shall remove° awith the kidneys°. 5 The priest° shall offer° them up in smoke° on the altar° as an offering° by fire° to the LORD°; it is a guilt° offering°. 6 aEvery° male° among the priests° may eat° of it. It shall be eaten° in a holy° place°; it is most° holy°. 7 The guilt° offering° is like the asin° offering°, there is one° law° for them; the bpriest° who° makes° atonement° with it Ishall have° it. 8 Also the priest° who presents° any° man’s° burnt° offering°, Ithat priest° shall have° for himself the skin° of the burnt° offering° which° he has presented°. 9 Likewise, every° grain offering° that is baked° in the oven° and everything° prepared° in a Ipan° or on a agriddle° IIshall belong° to the priest° who presents° it. 10 Every° grain offering°, mixed° with oil° or dry°, shall Ibelong° to all° the sons° of Aaron°, IIto all° alike°.

11 ¶ ‘Now this° is the law° of the asacrifice° of peace° offerings° which° shall be presented° to the LORD°. 12 If° he offers° it by way° of athanksgiving°, then along° with the sacrifice° of thanksgiving° he shall offer° bunleavened° cakes° mixed° with oil°, and unleavened° wafers° Ispread° with oil°, and cakes° [of well] stirred° fine° flour° mixed° with oil°. 13 With the sacrifice° of his peace° offerings° for thanksgiving°, he shall present° his offering° with cakes° of aleavened° bread°. 14 Of Ithis he shall present° one° of every° offering° as a IIcontribution° to the LORD°; ait shall IIIbelong° to the priest° who sprinkles° the blood° of the peace° offerings°.

15 ¶ ‘aNow [as for] the flesh° of the sacrifice° of his thanksgiving° peace° offerings°, it shall be eaten° on the day° of his offering°; he shall not leave° any° of it over until° morning°. 16 But if° the sacrifice° of his offering° is a avotive° or° a freewill° offering°, it shall be eaten° on the day° that he offers° his sacrifice°, and on the Inext° day° what is left° of it may be eaten°; 17 abut what is left° over° from the flesh° of the sacrifice° on the third° day° shall be burned° with fire°. 18 So if° any° of the flesh° of the sacrifice° of his peace° offerings° should [ever] be eaten° on the third° day°, he who offers° it will not be accepted°, [and] it will not be reckoned° to his [benefit]. It shall be an aoffensive° thing°, and the person° who eats° of it will bear° his [own] iniquity°.

19 ¶ ‘Also the flesh° that touches° anything° unclean° shall not be eaten°; it shall be burned° with fire°. IAs for [other] flesh°, anyone° who is clean° may eat° [such] flesh°. 20 aBut the person° who° eats° the flesh° of the sacrifice° of peace° offerings° which° belong to the LORD°, Iin his uncleanness°, that person° bshall be cut° off° from his people°. 21 aWhen° anyone° touches° anything° unclean°, whether human° uncleanness°, or° an unclean° animal°, or° any° unclean° Idetestable° thing°, and eats° of the flesh° of the sacrifice° of peace° offerings° which° belong to the LORD°, that person° shall be cut° off° from his people°.’”

28 ¶ Then the LORD° spoke° to Moses°, saying°, 29 “Speak° to the sons° of Israel°, saying°, ‘He who offers° athe sacrifice° of his peace° offerings° to the LORD° shall bring° his offering° to the LORD° from the sacrifice° of his peace° offerings°. 30 His own hands° are to bring° offerings° by fire° to the LORD°. He shall bring° the fat° with the breast°, that the abreast° may be Ipresented° as a wave° offering° before° the LORD°. 31 The priest° shall offer° up the fat° in smoke° on the altar°, but athe breast° shall belong° to Aaron° and his sons°. 32 You shall give° athe right° thigh° to the priest° as a Icontribution° from the sacrifices° of your peace° offerings°. 33 The one among° the sons° of Aaron° who offers° the blood° of the peace° offerings° and the fat°, the right° thigh° shall be his as [his] portion°. 34 For I have taken° athe breast° of the wave° offering° and the thigh° of the Icontribution° from the sons° of Israel° from the sacrifices° of their peace° offerings°, and have given° them to Aaron° the priest° and to his sons° as [their] due° forever° from the sons° of Israel°.

The law of the trespass offering,

1 ¶ Likewise this² [is] the lawº of the trespass offering:º it² [is] most¹ holy.º 2 In the placeº where² they killºª² the burnt offeringº shall they killºª² the trespass offering:º and the bloodº thereof shall he sprinkleºª round aboutº upon² the altar.º 3 And he shall offerºª of² it all² the fatº thereof;² the rump,º and the fatº that coverethºª² the inwards,º 4 And the twoº kidneys,º and the fatº that² [is] on² them, which² [is] by² the flanks,º and the caulº [that is] above² the liver,º with² the kidneys,º it shall he take away:ºª 5 And the priestº shall burnºª them upon the altarº [for] an offering made by fireº unto the LORD:º it² [is] a trespass offering.º 6 Every² maleº among the priestsº shall eatºª thereof: it shall be eatenºª in the holyº place:º it² [is] most¹ holy.º 7 As the sin offeringº [is], so [is] the trespass offering:º [there is] oneº lawº for them: the priestº that² maketh atonementºª therewith shall have² [it]. 8 And the priestº that offerethºª² any man'sº burnt offering,º [even] the priestº shall have² to himself the skinº of the burnt offeringº which² he hath offered.ºª 9 And all² the meat offeringº that² is bakenºª in the oven,º and all² that is dressedºª in the fryingpan,º and in² the pan,º shall be² the priest'sº that offerethºª it. 10 And every² meat offering,º mingledºª with oil,º and dry,º shall all² the sonsº of Aaronº have,² oneº [as much] as another.º

and of the peace offerings,

11 And this² [is] the lawº of the sacrificeº of peace offerings,º which² he shall offerºª unto the LORD.º

whether it be for a thanksgiving,

12 If² he offerºª it for² a thanksgiving,º then he shall offerºª with² the sacrificeº of thanksgivingº unleavenedº cakesº mingledºª with oil,º and unleavenedº wafersº anointedºª with oil,º and cakesº mingledºª with oil,º of fine flour,º fried.ºª 13 Besides² the cakes,º he shall offerºª [for] his offeringº leavenedº breadº with² the sacrificeº of thanksgivingº of his peace offerings.º 14 And of² it he shall offerºª oneº out of the whole²² oblationº [for] an heave offeringº unto the LORD,º [and] it shall be² the priest'sº that sprinklethºª² the bloodº of the peace offerings.º 15 And the fleshº of the sacrificeº of his peace offeringsº for thanksgivingº shall be eatenºª the same dayº that it is offered;º he shall not² leave¹ª² any of² it until² the morning.º

or a vow, or a freewill offering.

16 But if² the sacrificeº of his offeringº [be] a vow,º or² a voluntary offering,º it shall be eatenºª the same dayº that he offerethºª² his sacrifice:º and on the morrowº² also the remainderºª of² it shall be eaten:ºª 17 But the remainderºª of the fleshº² of the sacrificeº on the thirdº dayº shall be burntºª with fire.º 18 And if² [any] of the fleshº² of the sacrificeº of his peace offeringsº be eaten¹ª at allºª on the thirdº day,º it shall not² be accepted,ºª neither² shall it be imputedºª unto him that offerethºª it: it shall be² an abomination,º and the soulº that eatethºª of² it shall bearºª his iniquity.º 19 And the fleshº that² touchethºª any² uncleanº [thing] shall not² be eaten;ºª it shall be burntºª with fire:º and as for the flesh,º all² that be cleanº shall eatºª thereof.² 20 But the soulº that² eatethºª [of] the fleshº of the sacrificeº² of peace offerings,º that² [pertain] unto the LORD,º having his uncleannessº upon² him, even that² soulº shall be cut offºª from his people.º² 21 Moreover the soulº that² shall touchºª any² unclean¹² [thing, as] the uncleannessº of man,º or² [any] uncleanº beast,º or² any² abominableº uncleanº [thing], and eatºª of the fleshº² of the sacrificeº of peace offerings,º which² [pertain] unto the LORD,º even that² soulº shall be cut offºª from his people.º²

The fat,
