  1 Remember°, O LORD°, on David’s° behalf,
  All° ahis affliction°;
  2 How° he swore° to the LORD°
  And vowed° to athe Mighty° One° of Jacob°,
  3 “Surely° I will not Ienter° amy house°,
  Nor° IIlie° on my bed°°;
  4 I will not agive° sleep° to my eyes°
  Or slumber° to my eyelids°,
  5 Until° I find° a aplace° for the LORD°,

  And My testimony° which° I will teach° them,
  Their sons° also° shall asit° upon your throne° forever°.”

David in his prayer commendeth unto God the religious care he had for the Ark.

His prayer at the removing of the Ark,

8 Arise,ºª O LORD,º into thy rest;º thou,² and the arkº of thy strength.º 9 Let thy priestsº be clothedºª with righteousness;º and let thy saintsº shout for joy.ºª 10 For thy servantº David'sº sake² turn not awayºª² the faceº of thine anointed.º

11 The LORDº hath swornºª [in] truthº unto David;º he will not² turnºª from² it; Of the fruitº² of thy bodyº will I setºª upon thy throne.º 12 If² thy childrenº will keepºª my covenantº and my testimonyº thatº¹ª I shall teachºª them, their childrenº shall also² sitºª upon thy throneº for evermore.º² 13 For² the LORDº hath chosenºª Zion;º he hath desiredºª [it] for his habitation.º 14 This² [is] my restº for ever:º² here² will I dwell;ºª for² I have desiredºª it. 15 I will abundantly¹ª blessºª her provision:º I will satisfyºª her poorº with bread.º 16 I will also clotheºª her priestsº with salvation:º and her saintsº shall shout aloud¹ª for joy.º¹ª 17 There² will I make¹ª the hornº of Davidº to bud:ºª I have ordainedºª a lampº for mine anointed.º 18 His enemiesºª will I clotheºª with shame:º but upon² himself shall his crownº flourish.ºª
