1 “And ayou, son° of man°, prophesy° against° Gog° and say°, ‘Thus° says° the Lord° IGOD°, “Behold°, I am against° you, O Gog°, IIprince° of Rosh°, Meshech° and Tubal°; 2 and I will turn° you around°, drive° you on, take° you up from the remotest° parts° of the north° and bring° you against° the mountains° of Israel°. 3 I will astrike° your bow° from your left° hand° and dash° down° your arrows° from your right° hand°. 4 You will afall° on the mountains° of Israel°, you and all° your troops° and the peoples° who° are with you; I will give° you as bfood° to every° Ikind° of predatory° bird° and beast° of the field°. 5 You will fall° on the Iopen° field°; for it is I who have spoken°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°. 6 “And I will send° afire° upon Magog° and those who inhabit° the bcoastlands° in safety°; and they will know° that I am the LORD°.

7 ¶ “My aholy° name° I will make° known° in the midst° of My people° Israel°; and I will not let My holy° name° be bprofaned° anymore°. And the cnations° will know° that I am the LORD°, the dHoly° One° in Israel°. 8 Behold°, it is coming° and it shall be done°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°. “That is the day° of which° I have spoken°.

9 ¶ “Then those who inhabit° the cities° of Israel° will ago° out and make° bfires° with the weapons° and burn° [them], both shields° and bucklers°, bows° and arrows°, war° clubs° and spears°, and for seven° years° they will make° fires° of them. 10 They will not take° wood° from the field° or gather° firewood° from the forests°, for they will make° fires° with the weapons°; and they will take° the spoil° of those who despoiled° them and seize° the aplunder° of those who plundered° them,” declares° the Lord° GOD°.

11 ¶ “On that day° I will give° Gog° a burial° ground° there° in Israel°, the valley° of those who pass° by east° of the sea°, and it will block° off° those who would pass° by. So they will bury° Gog° there° with all° his Ihorde°, and they will call° [it] the valley° of IIHamon-gog°. 12 For seven° months° the house° of Israel° will be burying° them in order° to acleanse° the land°. 13 Even all° the people° of the land° will bury° [them]; and it will be Ito their arenown° [on] the day° that I bglorify° Myself,” declares° the Lord° GOD°. 14 “They will set° apart° men° who will constantly° pass° through the land°, aburying° those who were passing° through°, even° those left° on the surface° of the ground°, in order to cleanse° it. At the end° of seven° months° they will make° a search°. 15 As those who pass° through the land° pass° through° and anyone sees° a man’s° bone°, then he will Iset° up a marker° by it until° the buriers° have buried° it in the valley° of IIHamon-gog°. 16 And even° [the] name° of [the] city° will be Hamonah°. So they will cleanse° the land°.”’

17 ¶ “As for you, son° of man°, thus° says° the Lord° GOD°, ‘Speak° to every° Ikind° of abird° and to every° abeast° of the field°, “Assemble° and come°, gather° from every° side° to My sacrifice° which° I am going to bsacrifice° for you, as a great° sacrifice° on the mountains° of Israel°, that you may eat° flesh° and drink° blood°. 18 You will aeat° the flesh° of mighty° men° and drink° the blood° of the princes° of the earth°, as [though they were] brams°, lambs°, goats° and cbulls°, all° of them fatlings° of dBashan°. 19 So you will eat° fat° until you are glutted°, and drink° blood° until you are drunk°, from My sacrifice° which° I have sacrificed° for you. 20 You will be glutted° at My table° with ahorses° and charioteers°, with mighty° men° and all° the men° of war°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°.

21 ¶ “And I will set° My aglory° among the nations°; and all° the nations° will see° My judgment° which° I have executed° and My hand° which° I have laid° on them. 22 And the house° of Israel° will aknow° that I am the LORD° their God° from that day° onward°. 23 The nations° will know° that the house° of Israel° went° into exile° for their ainiquity° because°° they acted° treacherously° against Me, and I bhid° My face° from them; so I gave° them into the hand° of their adversaries°, and all° of them fell° by the sword°. 24 aAccording to their uncleanness° and according to their transgressions° I dealt° with them, and I hid° My face° from them.”’”

25 ¶ Therefore° thus° says° the Lord° GOD°, “Now° I will Iarestore° the fortunes° of Jacob° and have° mercy° on the whole° bhouse° of Israel°; and I will be cjealous° for My holy° name°. 26 They will Iaforget° their disgrace° and all° their treachery° which° they IIperpetrated° against Me, when they blive° securely° on their [own] land° with cno° one° to make° [them] afraid°. 27 When I abring° them back° from the peoples° and gather° them from the lands° of their enemies°, then I shall be bsanctified° Ithrough them in the sight° of the many° nations°. 28 Then they will know° that I am the LORD° their God° because I made them go° into exile° among° the nations°, and then gathered° them [again] to their own land°; and I will leave° none° of them there° any° longer°. 29 I will not hide° My face° from them any° longer°, for I will have apoured° out My Spirit° on the house° of Israel°,” declares° the Lord° GOD°.

God's judgment upon Gog.

1 ¶ Therefore, thou² sonº of man,º prophesyºª against² Gog,º and say,ºª Thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º Behold,² I [am] against² thee, O Gog,º the chiefº princeº of Meshechº and Tubal:º 2 And I will turn thee back,ºª and leave but the sixth partºª of thee, and will cause thee to come upºª from the northº parts,º² and will bringºª thee upon² the mountainsº of Israel:º 3 And I will smiteºª thy bowº out of thy leftº hand,º² and will cause thine arrowsº to fallºª out of thy rightº hand.º² 4 Thou shalt fallºª upon² the mountainsº of Israel,º thou,² and all² thy bands,º and the peopleº that² [is] with² thee: I will giveºª thee unto the ravenousº birdsº of every² sort,º and [to] the beastsº of the fieldº to be devoured.º 5 Thou shalt fallºª upon² the openº field:º for² I² have spokenºª [it], saithºª the Lordº GOD.º 6 And I will sendºª a fireº on Magog,º and among them that dwellºª carelesslyº in the isles:º and they shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD.º 7 So will I make² my holyº nameº knownºª in the midstº of my peopleº Israel;º and I will not² [let them] polluteºª² my holyº nameº any more:² and the heathenº shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORD,º the Holy Oneº in Israel.º

8 ¶ Behold,² it is come,ºª and it is done,ºª saithºª the Lordº GOD;º this² [is] the dayº whereof² I have spoken.ºª 9 And they that dwellºª in the citiesº of Israelº shall go forth,ºª and shall set¹ª on fire¹² and burnºª the weapons,º both the shieldsº and the bucklers,º the bowsº and the arrows,º and the handstaves,ºº and the spears,º and they shall burnºª them with fireº sevenº years:º 10 So that they shall takeºª no² woodº out of² the field,º neither² cut downºª [any] out of² the forests;º for² they shall burnºª the weaponsº with fire:º and they shall spoilºª² those that spoiledºª them, and robºª² those that robbedºª them, saithºª the Lordº GOD.º

11 ¶ And it shall come to pass² in that² day,º [that] I will giveºª unto Gogº a placeº there² of gravesº in Israel,º the valleyº of the passengersºª on the eastº of the sea:º and it² shall stopºª² the [noses] of the passengers:ºª and there² shall they buryºª² Gogº and all² his multitude:º and they shall callºª [it] The valleyº of Hamongog.º 12 And sevenº monthsº shall the houseº of Israelº be buryingºª of them, that² they may cleanseºª² the land.º 13 Yea, all² the peopleº of the landº shall buryºª [them]; and it shall be² to them a renownº the dayº that I shall be glorified,ºª saithºª the Lordº GOD.º 14 And they shall sever outºª men¹² of continual employment,º passing² through¹ª the landº to buryºª² with the passengersºª² those that remainºª upon² the faceº of the earth,º to cleanseºª it: after the endº² of sevenº monthsº shall they search.ºª 15 And the passengersºª [that] pass throughºª the land,º when [any] seethºª a man'sº bone,º then shall he set upºª a signº byº it, till² the buriersºª have buriedºª it in² the valleyº of Hamongog.º 16 And also² the nameº of the cityº [shall be] Hamonah.º Thus shall they cleanseºª the land.º

17 ¶ And, thou² sonº of man,º thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º Speakºª unto every² featheredº fowl,º and to every² beastº of the field,º Assemble¹ª yourselves,² and come;ºª gather¹ª yourselves² on every sideº² to² my sacrificeº that² I² do sacrificeºª for you, [even] a greatº sacrificeº upon² the mountainsº of Israel,º that ye may eatºª flesh,º and drinkºª blood.º 18 Ye shall eatºª the fleshº of the mighty,º and drinkºª the bloodº of the princesº of the earth,º of rams,º of lambs,º and of goats,º of bullocks,º all² of them fatlingsº of Bashan.º 19 And ye shall eatºª fatº till ye be full,º and drinkºª bloodº till ye be drunken,º of my sacrificeº² which² I have sacrificedºª for you. 20 Thus ye shall be filledºª at² my tableº with horsesº and chariots,º with mighty men,º and with all² menº of war,º saithºª the Lordº GOD.º 21 And I will setºª² my gloryº among the heathen,º and all² the heathenº shall seeºª² my judgmentº that² I have executed,ºª and my handº that² I have laidºª upon them. 22 So the houseº of Israelº shall knowºª that² I² [am] the LORDº their Godº from² that² dayº and forward.º

Israel, having been plagued for their sins, shall be gathered again with eternal favour.

23 ¶ And the heathenº shall knowºª that² the houseº of Israelº went into captivityºª for their iniquity:º because²² they trespassedºª against me, therefore hidºª I my faceº from² them, and gaveºª them into the handº of their enemies:º so fellºª they all² by the sword.º 24 According to their uncleannessº and according to their transgressionsº have I doneºª unto them, and hidºª my faceº from² them. 25 Therefore² thus² saithºª the Lordº GOD;º Now² will I bring againºª² the captivityºª of Jacob,º and have mercyºª upon the whole² houseº of Israel,º and will be jealousºª for my holyº name;º 26 After that they have borneºª² their shame,º and all² their trespassesº whereby² they have trespassedºª against me, when they dweltºª safelyº in² their land,º and none² made [them] afraid.ºª 27 When I have brought them againºª² from² the people,º and gatheredºª them out of their enemies'ºª lands,º² and am sanctifiedºª in them in the sightº of manyº nations;º 28 Then shall they knowºª that² I² [am] the LORDº their God,º which caused them to be led into captivityºª among² the heathen:º but I have gatheredºª them unto² their own land,º and have leftºª none² of² them any more² there.² 29 Neither² will I hideºª my faceº any more² from² them: for² I have poured outºª² my spiritº upon² the houseº of Israel,º saithºª the Lordº GOD.º
