25 ¶ But they aacted° treacherously° against the God° of their fathers° and bplayed° the harlot° cafter° the gods° of the peoples° of the land°, whom° God° had destroyed° before°° them. 26 So the God° of Israel° stirred° up the spirit° of aPul°, king° of Assyria°, even the spirit° of ITilgath-pilneser° king° of Assyria°, and he bcarried° them away° into exile°, namely the Reubenites°, the Gadites° and the half-tribe°° of Manasseh°, and brought° them to Halah°, Habor°, Hara° and to the river° of Gozan°, to this° day°.

25 ¶ And they transgressedºª against the Godº of their fathers,º and went a whoringºª afterº the godsº of the peopleº of the land,º whom² Godº destroyedºª beforeº² them. 26 And the Godº of Israelº stirred upºª² the spiritº of Pulº kingº of Assyria,º and the spiritº of Tilgathpilneserº kingº of Assyria,º and he carried them away,ºª even the Reubenites,º and the Gadites,º and the halfº tribeº of Manasseh,º and broughtºª them unto Halah,º and Habor,º and Hara,º and to the riverº Gozan,º unto² this² day.º
